LUXURIOUS AIRLINER
FOR PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT (Rec. 11.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, June 19. The Douglas Aircraft Corporation has just finished a luxurious new airliner for President Roosevelt. It is described as “the most elaborate thing ever to fly.” Mr Drew Pearson, of the New York Daily Mirror, says that the plane has an elevator, an apartment, and a bath. The cost is put at about £234,000.
