THUNDERBOLT FIGHTERS
NEW TYPE OF PROPELLER RUGBY, June 18.
A new type of propeller is now the standard equipment on all Thunderbolts of the Eighth Air Force. It gives the fighters a faster rate of climb, and is credited with changing them from high-altitude fighters to all-altitude fighters. The new propeller blade is wider, longer..and somewhat heavier than the old type.
