AGREEMENT REACHED
EXCHANGE OF CIVILIANS (Rec. 11 p.m.) RUGBY, June 17. Negotiations undertaken by the Swiss Government on behalf of the Governments of the British Commonwealth and the German Government have resulted in an agreement for the exchange of civilians. The Swedish ship Drottingholm has been made available for this purpose, and has arrived in South Africa. The Germans who are to be repatriated will be taken on board and delivered at a neutral port against, an equal number of civilians from the British Commonwealth now in Germany, who will be brought in the same ship to Britain. The names of the British repatriated will not be available until the Drottingholm reaches Britain.
