AMERICAN AIRCRAFT ENEMY BASES BOMBED (Rec. 10 p.m.) WASHINGTON, June 15. Army and navy Liberators attacked Truk on Monday, hitting airfields and starting several fires. Army Liberators also bombed Ponape. Navy Venturas attacked Ocean and Nauru Islands, and enemy positions in the Marshalls, says a Pacific Fleet communique.
