AIR FORCE CHIEF
VISIT TO BATTLE AREA (Rec. 8 p.m.) RUGBY, June 14. Air Chief Marshal Sir Trafford Leigh-Mallory, commander-in-chief of the Allied Expeditionary Air Force, has paid a flying visit to units of his command in the battle area. He also
visited General Montgomery’s headquarters and consulted with senior air officers.
Coming back he gave a lift to tlmee R.A.F. Spitfire pilots who had been forced to land following damage from flak in the Caen area.
