BEER FOR THE TROOPS

CIVILIAN CONSUMPTION CUT LONDON, June 13.

Beer for British civilians has been cut between 25 and 40 per cent, so that the invasion armies can be adequately supplied. The beer diverted from civilian trade has been handed to the Navy, Army, and Air Force Institute Canteen Service, which will supply it. to the troops fighting in France. The beer sent to France will have a higher alcohol content than the beer obtainable in England.
