FREEZING WORKS STRIKE

NO FURTHER DEVELOPMENTS (P.A.) AUCKLAND, June 4. There were no new developments in the dispute between the beef shacklers and the management of the Westfielu Freezing Works over the week-end. The dispute, which is over a question of wages, began a week ago, and no work was done from Tuesday onwards. The delivery of beef cattle was suspended at the end of last week, and consignments of other stock were tapered off. In view of the general holiday tomorrow there is believed to be little prospect of any new development until Tuesday morning.
