DOUBLE-FEATURE PROGRAMME
Heading an entertaining doublefeature programme at the Strand Theatre is “Alaska Highway,” telling the story of the wonderful work of United States Army engineers in building the highway, which constitutes a major achievement in American engineering history. At the head of a strong cast are Richard Arlen and Jean Parker. The associated feature is “ St. Louis Blues,” with Eleanore Griffin and _ William Rankin in the title roles. It is a fastmoving comedy with bright music. Dorothy Lamour and Lloyd Nolan have the principal roles, and are assisted by a strong cast of players.
