BADOGLIO GOVERNMENT
RESIGNATION ANNOUNCED NEW CABINET BEING FORMED LONDON, Apl! 17. The resignation of the Badoglio Ministry is announced by the Italian press. Negotiations for the formation of a new Ministry are proceeding. Reuter’s Naples correspondent says that the resignation of the Badoglio Government has been foreshadowed to enable Marshal Badoglio to form a Government on a much wider basis. The Exchange Telegraph’s Naples correspondent says that when Marshal Badoglio visited King Victor offering his resignation, the King refused to accept, and asked Marshal Badoglio to re-form his Government. The new Cabinet will probably be announced to-morrow. It is expected to include one member of each of the six Opposition parties.
