THREE NEW ZEALAND NAVAL MEN (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Apl. 4. Advice has been received from the Admiralty that His Majesty the King has approved of the award of mention in despatches to the following:— Temporary Lieutenant John Norman Broad, R.N.Z.N.V.R.; father, Mr J. Broad, Dunedin.. Temporary Lieutenant Leonard Elliot Newall, D.S.C., R.N.Z.N.V.R.; father, Mr W. R. Newall, Wellington. Telegraphist Robert Duncan Cleary; father, Mr G. Cleary, Otaki. Lieutenant Broad was mentioned in despatches last July. He was killed in action last month.
