DUNEDIN RABBIT SKIN SALE
\ * GOOD DEMAND FOR ALL GRADES Tile Dunedin Stock Agents and Woolbrokers’ Association (New Zealand, Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., National Mortgage and Agency Company, Ltd., Daigety and Co., Ltd., Otago Farmers’ Co-operative Association, Ltd., Donald Reid and Co., Ltd., Stronach, Morris, and Co., Ltd.) reports that approximately 88 tons of skins were offered to the usual bench of buyers at the Dunedin rabbit skin sale yesterday. There was a good demand for all grades, and values as compared with the previous auction can be quoted as firm. The bulk of the offering comprised racks and summer grades, with a sprinkling of dawny and early autumns. The following is the official range of prices:—Early autumns, 109 dto 114 d; second early autumns, 93d to 96Jd; dawny autumns, 90d to 94d; prime racks, 89Jd to 91£d; light racks, 93d to 96d; runners, 75£d to 85d; first small, 47Jd to 53d; sum-mers,-74d to 77d; milky, 74Jd to 75Jd; summer broken, 73£d to 74£d; summer weevily, 45Jd to 46d; winter weevily, 56d; summer blacks, 72d to 74d; summer fawns, 74d; hareskins, 38£d; horsehair, 29d to 32d. The next sale Is scheduled for May 2.
