The secretary (Mr T. J. Guthrie) reported that' 11 men were employed on various works during the month. Pending the appointment of a quarry foreman. the quarry had been temporarily closed. " After a heavy sea the end concrete block broke away and tipped out towards the north east, the opening being 5 feet to 6 feet in width. About 30 feet of stone was also washed out of the centre of the end of the extension. The centre concrete block of the last block built appeared to have dropped, but all the other concrete was intact.
