Surely everyone knows that when the Japanese menace to New Zealand was at its height all available empty tanks were 1 filled with petrol for Government use to ensure distribution points for the army’ This tank is now being used by the army and Government officers Your correspondent does not state t-hat there are at least four other pumps in Wanaka all available to the public. But for the grace of God and the American Navy, "Not a Government Official” might have seen the pump with “ For Japanese officials only ’’ on it!—l am- otc., •• Neither a Government Official Nor An Ignoramus. - February 20.
