Mr F. Stoop, who has ’been clerk of the court at Oamaru for the past nine years, has received advice of his transfer on promotion to Hawera. Mr Stoop expects to leave Oamaru about the end of the month, and his place will be taken bv Mr F. S. Collier, of F'eildmg.
The Management Committee of the North Otago Rugby Union on Monday night decided to forward a message of congratulation to Mr P. Linton Hodge, manager of the Union Steam Ship Company's branch at Invercargill, and a former member of the Management Committee, on his promotion ■to the managership of the Christchurch branch.
