Fined for Drunkenness.—On a charge of drunkenness, John Patrick Dillon, a statutory first offender, was fined £l, the amount of his bail, when he appeared in the Police Court yesterday morning before Mr H. C. Jeffery, J.P. W.C.T.U.—The annual cradle roll of the W.C.T.U. was held in the' Oamaru Public Gardens on Saturday. The programme comprised games and races. Miss Poole, the cradle roll secretary, welcomed the mothers and children and thanked the women who helped with the afternoon tea.
