U-BOAT SUNK
RUGBY, Feb. 10. The first U-boat “ kill ” by the Coastal Command this year was made by an R.A.A.F. Sunderland, the captain of which was Flying Officer J. P. Roberts, of Sydney. The success was achieved after a six and a-half minutes’ encounter. The flying boat was undamaged, in spite of the U-boat’s heavy fire. Forty survivors from the U-boat were seen in the water.
