OIL RESOURCES

POST-WAR DEVELOPMENT OUTCOME OF TEHERAN TALKS (Rec. 0.50 a.m.) NEW YORK, Feb. 11. The Teheran Conference agreed in principle on a programme for the development of the vast oil resources in the Middle East and the sale and distribution of petroleum products in the post-war world markets, says the New York Times. Details of the scheme will be worked out in Washington in a series of conferences between Britain, the United States, and Russia. The present plans indicate that the post-war markets of Europe, Asia, and Africa will be supplied almost entirely from the Russian and Middle East fields, while oil from the United States and Carribean areas will be used exclusively for the western hemisphere.
