AT PORT CHALMERS
The men from the Port Chalmers district were given a rousing welcome home by a large crowd. The speakers were the Mayor. (Mr H. S. Watson) and the president of the local branch of the Returned Services’ Association (Mr J. S. Hay). Several selections were played by the Port Chalmers Marine Band.
Association joined in the ceremony Following a brief welcome, the local men left in cars for their homes. Music w!£ supplied by the Taieri Highland pipe Band.
