DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE Buyers quoted freely In all sections on the Dunedin Stock Exchange yesterday, but there were comparatively few sellers. Union Bank 3 were in demand at £7 14s, and Commercial Banks at 17s Bd. The inquiry for meat preserving shares was good, and there were buyers of New Zealand Refrigerating (paid) at £1 6s 3d, and of the contributing issue at 12s 4d. Southland Frozen Meat, both ordinary and preference, had buyers at £2 4s. Sou.h Otago Freezing were wanted at £6 2s od, and Waitaki Freezing at £6 7s 6d. New Zealand Breweries were quoted £2 Os 6d (buyer) and £2 Is (seller), while £2 3s was offered for Dominion Breweries. Westport Coals were quoted £1 5s (buyer), with sellers 9d away A buyer of Mosgiel Woollens advanced his bid to £l2 10s but no seller came forward. Buyers o’f Colonial Sugars offered £59 10s without attracting a seller. Offers of £3 3s were made for G. J. Coles, and of £4 14s for New Zealand Drugs (fully paid).
