OTAGO CHAMPIONSHIPS The Otago croquet tournament was commenced on the Watea and Pungalawns yesterday In Ideal conditions. The competitors were welcomed at the Watea lawns by Mrs W. E. Gibson, tournament manager, who congratulated the greenkeepers on the excellent condition of the lawns. Mrs J. McDonald, vice-president of the Dominion Croquet Council, also extended a welcome. At Punga Mrs H. J. Dixon opened the tournament.
