DISTRICT NURSING

ROSLYN ASSOCIATION At the meeting of the committee of the Roslyn District Nursing Association on Friday, Mrs A. R. Falconer, who occupied the chair, referred to the loss suffered by the death of Mr James Moir, who was one of the founders of the association, and had been president since its inception 10 years ago. Mr J. H. Matheson and Mr S. B. Smith spoke of the valuable assistance Mr Moir had given to the work in the district, and a minute of appreciation was passed. Mr S. B. Smith was appointed acting president till the annual meeting. The district nurse's report showed that her time was fully occupied visiting homes, and when possible patients called at the rooms for treatment. The association had been able to procure wheelchairs and other medical equipment, which was available for use in the district. The thanks of the committee were recorded to all who sent in gifts at Christmas . time, and during the past months. The monthly sales will be resumed-on the first Friday in March.
