SOUTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIP The South Island croquet tournament was continued at the Watea and Leith lawns yesterday in boisterous weather. It was the fourth day of the fixture. The lawns were heavy after rain, and the strong wind caused difficulties for the players. In the Handicap Doubles there was an exciting finish to the match in which Mesdames Holmes (Southland) and Metcalf (Logan Park) beat Mesdames Anderson and Robertson (Watea) by 26 points to 25.
