CITY FIRE CALLS

A call to a grass fire in the Southern Cemetery was answered by the City Fire Brigade at 11.13 a.m. on Saturday. A second call was received at 11.27 a.m. to the Provincial Hotel, Stafford street, where some food cooking in an oven caught fire. No other damage was done.
