The first Vace at Forbury Park to-day is timed to start at noon. Gold Pot has been showing signs of returning to form, and the Jack Potts gelding ina” be the one to spring a surprise in the King George Handicap. Dunstan Direct, who is now trained by P. Gallagher, is reported to have been doing good work. The roan gelding has shown some good form in his races at Forbury Park. .. , The Nelson Derby pacer Princess Marltza has gained two wins and a third placing in her last three starts, and may be found adding to that record to-day. Atawhero Is likely to be among the favourites in the Army Handicap to-day. He is one of J. Bryce’s team, and has been placed in his last three starts. Elvo’s Pride is an improver who should soon lead a field home. She Is a four-year-old by Nelson Derby from Elvo, and is one of 6. E. Hooper’s team. Sabu has been firming in favour j.or the Churchill Handicap. By his performances at the recent Auckland meeting the Man o’ War pacer showed that he is in form.
