NEW AIR FORCE CLUB

OPENED BY MR JORDAN (N.Z.P.A. Special Correspondent) LONDON, Nov. 25. The High Commissioner for New Zealand (Mr W. J. Jordan) declared open a club for the use of Australian and New Zealand airmen newly arrived in England. It will be managed by the Dominion and Allied Services Hospitality Scheme. Miss Macdonald of the Isles welcomed Mr Jordan, who expressed thanks to her and Lady Frances Ryder, the founders of the scheme, on behalf of the dominions’ Governments. The scheme arranges hospitality for the men of the dominions. In eight months this year over 10,000 offers of hospitality have been received and accepted. The hosts and hostesses number 2000.
