PRESSURE ON GOVERNMENI At one of the most largely-attended meetings ever held by the Hillside branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants the following resolution was yesterday carried unanimously:— “ That this meeting of Hillside A.S.R.S. members asks the National Executive again to communicate with the Government immediately on the wages question and the rectification of long-standing anomalies, and, if no satisfactory guarantee is given to the representation, we pledge ourselves to support our National Executive in ahy militant action it may deem necessary to have our reasonable demands met.”
