Motions of sympathy with the membeis of the Kininmont family, in the death ot their father, Mr William Kininmont, and with the Misses Mainland, in the death oi their brother, were passed at a meeting of the Early Settlers’ Association Seaman Ivan Bam was presented with n gift from the Oamaru Swimming Club on Tuesday night. Mr George Jones made the presentation. He was also the guest of honour at a dance organised by his friends, which was held in the Foresters Hall on Tuesday night. Mr R. Keith played dance music, and Mr J. Woods was M.C.
