BATTLE IN LYONS
NAZIS AND FRENCH CIVILIANS CASUALTIES ON BOTH SIDES (Rec. 9 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 16. Nine French civilians were killed and over 50 wounded during an hour’s battle last night with German troops in the main square at Lyons, reports me Berne correspondent of the Associated Press. One German was killed and 12 were wounded. The battle started when the Germans emerged from their special theatre and two delayed action bombs exploded. The French simultaneously opened fire from windows of buildings nearby. The Germans subsequently used machine guns.
