GREEK ISLAND REINFORCED
TROOPS OF SACRED BRIGADE RUGBY, Nov. 15. Greek troops of the Sacred Brigade which has a “do or die ” tradition reaching back 2000 years, have been dropped by parachute from R.A.F. aircraft on Samos. They added a new chapter to the history of the brigade by this operational landing on the island, which is'the nearest point to their homeland they have reached since leaving it. They brought valuable assistance to the British garrison on the island, A second contingent of the brigade came by sea.
