SANCTIFIED BY BLOOD
BRITISH EMPIRE ASSOCIATION MELBOURNE, Nov. 16. The tremendous importance to the world of what he described as the “ British Empire Association ” was stressed by the Prime Minster, Mr Curtin, at a welcome to the Canadian press delegation. “ Our association is not easy to describe,” he said. “ I think it is an instinctive association which has been sanctified by blood, promoted by intellectual agreement, enriched by the conception of duty, founded on agreement and consent, and ennobled by a higher perception of duty to the world. This association has been a strong element of civilisation in the past century. It will be a real and tremendously important factor in the future.”
