NATIONAL SAVINGS

(Special) WELLINGTON, Nov. 16. National war savings quotas were attained last week in 178 towns. Many of these towns hold a high record of regularity in week-by-week saving, while others deoend for their successes on. the carrying forward of surpluses recorded in earlier periods. Regular week-by-week successes are, of course, the more meritorious. District organisers are now visiting their sub-centres with the object of assisting the local committees in their efforts to ward off inflation by encouraging increased regularity in saving.
