MUSIC AT THE GARDENS

Sir, —Like many others, I was agreeably surprised at the musical fare provided at the Gardens on Sunday afternoon. A special interest was taken in the Burn* Pipe Band, as this was its first appearance at these concerts. I arh sure the public would like to hear more of this* young combination in the near future. After all, this is the Scottish city of New Zealand, so let us have more pipe bands; we can appreciate them.—l am, etc.. True Scot. Roslyn, October 31.
