FIVE WET MONTHS
WELLINGTON’S HEAVY RAINFALL (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 1.
The rainfall recorded in Wellington during October was just over eight inches, compared with the pverage fall of three and a-half inches. October was the fifth wet month in succession and the rainfall to date this year is 52.57 inches, some 40 of which have fallen since the wet spell began in June. The year’s excess to date is about 16 inches.
