Okarlto Dredge.—A wash-up of lOoz Bdwt is reported for 120 hours’ dredging, a total of 5100 cubic yards being treated. Grey River Dredge.—The return for the fortnight .ended October 14 was 305.20 z for 250 hours (119,233 cubic yards).
Scott Bros., produce merchants and commission agents, registered egg and onion merchants, report:—Eggs: Pay-out values for consignments received October 11 to October 15 will be—Heavy Is Bd, standard Is 6d, medium Is 41d. Butter: Wanted: Is per lb. Poultry: Hens. 4s to 4s 9d each; heavy breeds, 5s to 6s 6d each; ducks, 3s 6d to 4s 6d each; ducklings, 5s to 6s 6d each; goslings, 5s to 6s each: turkeys, Is 4d to Is 6d per lb, live weights. Potatoes: Graded lots at fixed values; ungraded, nominally £1 per ton under fixed rates. Whole fowl wheat, 23s to 24s per sack. Chaff; Prime oaten sheaf. £6 15s per ton, ex truck; £7 15s ex store, bags extra. Whole maize, 8s per bushel. Oyster grit. 6s 6d per 1001 b bag. Straw: Wheaten,.2s 9d per bale; oaten, 3s 3d per bale, ex store. Canterbury onions, 28s per cwt. Lucerne meal, 12s'6d per sack. Ground oats, 17s per 2001 b bag for pigs and poultry. Seed potatoes: We have limited stocks of certified King Edwards. We stock meatmeals, chickfoods, oyster grit, barley dust, 10s 6d 1501 b, etc. All eggs graded to regulation; payments weekly.—October 18, 1943.
