PATRIOTIC FUNDS

One million pounds is the cost this year of providing patriotic comforts and amenities for our active service forces; our sick and wounded and prisoners of war. The appeal closes on September 30, and £45,000 is, still required from the people of Otago. Has your district raised its quota? It is your duty to see about that. Dont let your district down. More important still, don’t let our Forces down. They need comforts and amenities, and they can only get them if the people at home contribute the full amount of the All Purposes Patriotic Appeal. Don’t let our fighting men down. It is up to .us to make a sacrifice for their welfare. —4.
