HYDATIDS IN DOGS

(P.A.) , AUCKLAND, Aug. 14. The Government has under order 2 500,000 tablets of a drug named arecoline hydrobromide for distribution to local authorities in an effort to reduce hydatids in dogs. The Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr W E. Parry) to-day stated that for the past two or three years experiments had been made by the Departments of Health and Agriculture, and efforts had been made to bring about an appreciable decrease in hydatids.
