PROFITS FOR PATRIOTIC FUNDS

NEXT TWO ART UNIONS (P.A.) AUCKLAND. Aug. 13. A decision to devote exclusively the profits of two of the regular £SOOO art unions for charitable and philanthropic purposes to the funds of the provincial patriotic councils in the Dominion was announced.by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr W. E. Parry, to-day. These two art unions would follow the one now in progress. The heavy calls for money for other purposes, the Minister said, had made it difficult for the various patriotic councils to collect their quotas, and help from other sources was necessary.
