Roydon’s Pride, the dam of Certissimus and Desmond’s Pride, is to be mated with U. Scott. During the season just concluded 371 horses started at totalisator meetings and 479 of them won money. At the Auckland Trotting Club’s meeting to-day (win-and-place betting) the starting times are as follows:—11.30, 12.15, 1 p.m., 1.45. 2.30, 3.15, 4.0, 4.45. Watcher was in the boom last season, and provided she has gone on the right way in the meantime she should race prominently from the front of the Queen Mary Handicap at Addington. It is reported that Bronze Eagle is in good form for his engagements at Addington this month. In the National Handicap he is giving Parshall 24yds, and he may find the Auckland pacer one of the hardest to .beat. Cabin Boy won two races and was placed in another in six starts last season, and the Jack Potts gelding is expected to add to this record early in the new season. He is engaged at Addington next week.
