OTAGO ART SOCIETY

ANNUAL MEETING The sixty-seventh annual meeting of the Otago Art Society was held on Friday night in the club room. There was a good attendance of members and friends, over which the president, Mr R. N. Field, presided. The following officers were elected for tire ensuing year: President, Mr R. N. Field; immediate past president, Dr Clarke Hanan; vice-presidents—Mrs J. Mclndoe, Miss K. Salmond, Dr A. H. McLintock, and Mr Edmund J. Smith; council—Mrs Shaw Thompson, Mrs N. Thomson, Miss E. B. Jeans, Miss M. Kirkpatrick, Miss P. Fenton, Miss N. Willocks, Messrs H. V. Miller, A. G. Tovey, S. Lawn, and H. McD. Smith; treasurer, Mr J. Simpson; secretary, Mr N. S. Thomson. When the business was completed, the chairman Introduced Captain Peter Mclntyre, Official War Artist of the New Zealand Division in the Middle East, who gave an interesting address on his experiences as an artist.
