COLD TEMPERATURES Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office m Wellington : Moderate north-easterly winds, freshening on the coast; weather cloudy on the coast, fine inland; temperatures cold. Further Outlook.—Similar conditions. Weather in Dunedin.—The weather during the week-end was fine, but the sky was overcast for the greater part of the time. There was a light south-westerly breeze. The barometer rose slowly, the reading at midnight last night being 30.01 inches (1016 millibars). The following are the meteorological observations taken over the week-end at the Daily Times Office:— SATURDAY 8 a.m. Noon. 6 p.m. M’nt.
