EXAMINATIONS PUBLIC SERVICE EXAMINATIONS FOR SHORTHAND-WRITERS AND TYPISTS, NOVEMBER, 1943. Public Service Junior and Senior Entrance Examinations for Shorthand-typists will be held on November 13. Applicants may enter for. both examinations. It is also proposed to hold the following examinations on November 27, in centres WHERE THERE ARE SUFFICIENT CANDIDATES:—INTERMEDIATE EXAMINATION: Shorthand, 130 words a minute; typewriting, 50 words a minute. Entrants must-have passed Senior Examination. SPECIAL EXAMINATION: Shorthand, 150 words a minute; typewriting, 50 words a minute. Entrants must have passed Intermediate Examination. Exception is made only where Commissioner is satisfied that candidates who have not passed any Public Service examination for Short-hand-typists are up to the standard of the examination below the one entered for. Each case dealt with on its merits. SHORTHAND REPORTERS EXAMINATION: Shorthand, 150-180 words a minute with not niore than 1 per cent, error in transcript. Entry fee is £2 2s; candidates must be 21 years of age and submit two testimonials as to. character. Applications close October 7, 1943, but late applications will be received at this Office up to October 21 ON ADDITIONAL PAYMENT OF LATE FEE.
