Mr I. B. Stevenson and Mr R. Aitchison left for Christchurch yesterday morning. Lieutenant Mary Martin, W.A.A.C., 'is visiting Dunedin. She was formerly physical welfarerofficer for the Otago area, a. The wedding took place in Wellington yesterday of Mr Justice Blair and Mrs Ada Jamieson, of Christchurch. Archdeacon Bullock performed the ceremony. Mr Justice Johnston-was best man. The bride, who is well-known in racing circles, owns the Melbourne Cup winner Catalogue,
Passengers who left for the north by the airliner yesterday were: Mr and Mrs W. Deuchrass, Mrs I. Platt, Mr J. McLennan, and Mr H. Halliday for Christchurch, Mr and Mrs J. Livingston, Mr B. Jessop, and Mr C. A. Curtis for Wellington, and Mr A. S. Mills for Palmerston North. Passengers who arrived by the afternoon plane were: Mr W. Comfort-Young from Auckland, Mr H. E. Harford, Miss H. E. Race, and Mr J. McGregor from Wellington, Miss E. Ireland, Miss I. Harris, Miss B. Mahan, Master E. Munro, and Mr A. J. Kerr from Christchurch.
