Mr G. Z. Lindley left for Christchurch yesterday. Mr W. A. Flavell left for Wellington yesterday. Mr James Begg was a passenger by the express yesterday for Wellington. Mr R. S. Thompson (chairman of the Otago Harbour Board) and Mr J. Renton (secretary) left yesterday for Wellington, where they will be engaged on Harbour Board business. Messrs T. Somerville and J. C. Laing will leave this morning for Christchurch to attend a meeting of the council of the New Zealand Master Printers’ Federation. Passengers who left for the north by the airliner yesterday were Mr B. W. George and Mr L. M. Wright for Christchurch, Mr H. T. Speight, Mr Bosher, Miss J. Raine, Mr A. C. Hirst, and Mr L. E. Bullock for Wellington, and Mr C. Maddigan for Auckland. Mr J. G. Gasparich, of Invercargill, an inspector of Southland primary schools, has been notified of his transfer to Napier. His successor will be Mr Henry Rochfort, principal of the Christchurch South Intermediate School. The transfer will take effect at the beginning of the next school term.
