MARTHA COMPANY'S PROFIT (Special) AUCKLAND. June 1. Cabled advice from London states that the gross profit earned by the Martha Gold Mining Company for the year ended December 31 was £120,966. The amount brought forward was £4020. Income tax, London and New Zealand, amounted to £68,572, and £3608 was set aside for depreciation. Dividends, including the final one of 6d a share already announced, absorb £41,326, leaving £11,480 to be carried forward. The net profit at £48.786 compares with £60,041 in 1941 and £62,200 in 1940. *

Gillespie’s Beach Dredge.—The wash-up for the week ended on Saturday was IGoz 14dwt (126 hours, 15,498 cubic yards). Slab Hut Creek Dredge.—Owing to repairs. there was no wash-up last week.
