REPUBLICAN RECAPTURED

(Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON, May 30. The I.R.A. commandant, James Steele, who, with three others, escaped from the Belfast prison, was recaptured in Belfast last night. A strong force of police was on duty in the Belfast Police Court and armed police surrounded the dock when Steele faced two charges in connection with the possession of a revolver and ammunition. He was remanded until June 15.
