MAYFAIR THEATRE

Those two hilarious fun-makers, Costello and Abbott, produce a new set of pranks in their latest effort, “ Ride 'Em Cowboy,” which will be screened at the Mayfair Theatre to-day. Uninvited guests at a dude ranch, they enter with gusto into the proceedings and cause a riot when they start taking charge of things. Their antics in the swimming pool and as amateur cowhands are laughable, particularly when Bud' Abbott tries some new ideas in milking. Trouble with a pack of Indians because of Bud's carelessness with a bow and arrow pursues the pair right through the picture and ends up with a highly-diverting cross-country contest between the Indians and a flivver. The supporting programme is varied, and includes “ The Vanishing Virginian,” starring Frank Morgan, Spring Byington. and Kathryn Grayson.
