STRIKING RUBBER WORKERS NEW YORK. May 27. President Roosevelt has directed the Akron rubber workers to return to work before noon to-day, otherwise the Government will intervene. Mr Roosevelt described the strike as inexcusable and a flagrant violation of Labour’s no-strike pledge.
