SENTENCED FOR BIGAMY

(P.A.) • GISBORNE, May ’2B. . A sentence of three months’ Imprisonment was passed by Mr Justice Smith to-day on James Henry Deans, a labourer, aged 35, who pleaded guilty to bigamy. Deans was married in Invercargill in 1923, but never lived with his wife. In 1936 he commenced divorce proceedings, but did not continue them a He then went through another form of marriage ■at Napier under a different name.
