PATRIOTIC GALA

OVER £I4OO RAISED At the final meeting of the North Otago Patriotic Gala Committee, Mr R. K. Gardiner (secretary) submitted the financial statement showing that £1450 7s 9d had been raised in aid of the All Purposes Appeal. The gala realised £751 3s 9d, art union £631 7s 2d, and stock drive £76 16s lOd. Mr L. A. Canning (chairman) returned thanks to the ladies associated with the committee for their assistance, to Mr L. Ward for his management of the art union, and to Mr R. K. Gardiner for his services. Contributions to the stock drive not previously acknowledged are as follows: A. D. Johnston, fat lamb; G. Fridd, wether; J. G. Laird, bag of wheat; K. E. Craig, £1; J. J. Mitchell, £1; G. H. Willetts, £2; J. A, Duncan. £1 ss; J. J. Stott, £1 ss.
