TROTTING NOTES
By- Sentinel The first race at Forbury Park on Saturday is timed to start at 11.30. Jill is an improver who may get among the winners any time now. She is a five-year-old by Grattan Loyal from Betty Wrack, and is trained by W. R. Butt at Templeton. In the Domain and St. Clair Handicaps at Forbury Park Dunstan Direct has been penalised 48 yards and is now on 60 yards. In the Beach Handicap he has been penalised 12 yards and is now on 12 yards. Cold Steel should be one of the favourites for the Beach Handicap at Forbury Park, in which he looks nicely placed on the limit. The Rey de Oro gelding is reported to be in good condition for his engagement. Tall Timber has a fair turn of speed, but has yet to live up to his breeding, which is by Gallant Knight from Escapade, a brilliant trotter in her day. Tall Timber has two engagements at Forbury Park. The Grattan Loyal gelding Premier Royal is at the peak of his form, and he has bright prospects of adding further wins to his- record. He is the backmarker in the Renown Handicap at Forbury Park.
